Description Vintage Tinnie Badge propaganda pin from 1933, when the NSDAP Party were encouraging German citizens to vote for their party in the Federal elections 5th March, 1933. NSDAP stormtroopers unleashed a campaign of violence against the Communist Party, trade unionists, social democratic party and the centre party. The badge reads: One people, one nation, one leader. The NSDAP party gained control of the parliament, with Hitler elected Chancellor. Democratic governance ceased to exist. Germany became a one party state. In 1934 after the death of president Paul von Hindenburg, Hitler became sole leader/Fuhrer of the Third Reich in August 1934 when the role of president and chancellor were merged.
